fur-parenting

before i got buddha, i normally had to force myself to like animals.
call it either buddha's sparkling personality, his amazing name, or the fact that my husband is head over heels in love with a dog for the reason that my bond to him is so strong.

he does the cutest things.
barks the cutest ways.
and cuddles in the best spots.

if i am sad, buddha always knows how to just sit there... listening?
anyways, he has to be the best animal i have ever met.
it kinda makes me want another one, but then again, i dont know
if i could love another dog as much as i love him.
uh oh... do you run in to this dilemna when you decide to have a second child? haha.

okay, so buddha has been doing this really weird thing the past couple of days.
every place that he would lay down, he would rub his nose continually on it.
i looked at his nose and everything looked fine.
plus he did it the first time right after we had given him a pig ear (his first one) so we thought maybe he really hated it or something. we gave him the one he didn't finish in the car once we got home, just to see if he would eat it then, and he DID!
he totally ate it in like 5.5 seconds too!
so after that, i knew that there had to be something wrong.

few little tips about the video.
1. dont watch is profanity upsets you. my husband has a potty mouth.
2. i am not naked. i just got out of the shower and jumped in bed with a towel on.
3. pardon our messy bed and no sheets. we just bought a new tv and computer so scott
was putting them together. plus, it was laundry day.
4. yes, my husband did tell me to post this on my blog. i think he likes that i keep one :)
and that is all.

unfortunately, i only discovered about 4 days later that it was his nose.
i guess he got it caught on one of the barbed wire fences in our yard or hopefully he didnt get in to a fight with another animal. i do live out in the middle of nowhere, so possiblities like this arise.
during this video actually, towards the very end, i figured out what was going on.
i looked on our blanket and there were blood marks from all the times he rubbed his nose on it.
i instantly felt horrible :(
i guess in the beginning when it first got cut, it was such a small cut that we couldn't even see it.
but 4 days later it turned in to a big cut (about the size of an eraser on a pencil)

so, we brought this bad boy in to the equation
and he totally hates it.
he looked absolutely pathetic which made me feel even worse.
luckilly though it keeps his hands out of his face, his nose away from our blanket, and his lotion intact on his nose. i am hoping with all three of those, his nose will heal fast and we wont have to worry about it anymore.
i hate to see my pup not feeling like himself :(

and since i haven't really posted a good new pic of my tattoo sleeve, here ya go!
i love it :)

love,
briana.
