its been awhile

so many wonderful things have been happening since i last posted.
we were able to go visit my in-laws over spring break and all of scott's friends from high school.
we had so much fun and all of these pictures were taken from the greenwood, arkansas area.

right across the arkansas/oklahoma border there is a huge indian casino and its legal to play at
the age of 18. so, scott and i went and my first time at the casino was so fun! what can i say though? its definately in my families blood. scott and i only went in with $20 and we wanted to see how long it would last it. we actually had a blast in the casino for about four areas and left with about $10 more then we went in with so i was pleased with the outcome.

along with going to the casino, we got to spend time with his dad and friends. scott got to enjoy riding motorcycles (his dad and scott went on a father/son trip because i don't do motorcycle riding, haha) and i got to enjoy relaxing and catching up on some episodes of army wives! after a few days vacation, we hit the road and came back home to study for our upcoming finals!

i am also very pleased to announce that i am going to be an auntie this november! it is so exciting to finally have a little baby around to love and play with. i am so proud and very excited for samantha and jett as they enter this amazing journey together. i can't wait to become the best, funnest aunt ever! i mean, being an aunt is kind of like being a grandparent... i get to spoil the heck out of the kid and be its favorite because ill be the fun, cool, chill one. hopefully soon scott and i will be blessed with a little one of our own, so as cousins they can be close in age and grow up together.

scott and i also celebrated our one year anniversary. time has flown by so extremely fast and when april 7th rolled around, it definately didn't feel like a year had gone by. today, scott took me out to lunch before our classes and i ordered a root beer and he ordered a chocolate shake. he absolutely hates root beer and didnt hear that that was what i had ordered, so he went to grab my drink, while i, with a mouth full of food, starting groaning no and flailing my arms around like an idiot. scott looked at me with a look of confusement and once i swallowed my semi-chewed food, i said "its root beer". he just smiled and me and we both said at the same time "i wonder what it will be like in 50 years!". there is no one in the world that i would rather be with and i am so blessed to have married my soul mate young. i feel like the rest of our lives will be so entwined because everything that we own we bought together and everything that we have is ours.

i applied for RN school and LPN school for this upcoming fall and am keeping my fingers, toes, eyes, ears and everything else crossed that i get accepted in to one of these programs. my grades are good and i have finished all of the pre and co-requisites so im staying optomistic that i will be accepted in to one.

my life is such a wonderful road.
